Clippers Look to Regroup After Difficult Night at Lincoln

The Cumberland Clippers boys varsity soccer team ran into one of the hottest teams in Rhode Island Friday night, falling 6–0 on the road to the unbeaten Lincoln Lions.

Lincoln improved to 8–0 with the victory, while Cumberland moved to 2–5 on the season. It was a difficult result for the Clippers against a confident Lions squad that has continued to build momentum throughout the early portion of its schedule.

Cumberland will now turn the page and prepare for a non-league matchup against North Providence. The Cougars enter at 1–5 after suffering a narrow 3–2 loss to Tiverton.

For the Clippers, Monday’s game presents an opportunity to regroup, regain some confidence and begin building positive momentum for the remainder of the season.
