Trophies, silver medals and plenty to build on. It was a successful tournament weekend for CLP United, with Cumberland’s young players giving their families plenty to cheer about.
The U13 girls captured the Boston Bolts Columbus Cup championship on penalties, while the U13 boys claimed the Legends Cup with a 1–0 victory in the final. Both teams entered that final undefeated, and CLP found the winner with six minutes left to bring the trophy home.
The U14 girls earned second place at Boston Bolts with a reported 2–2–0 tournament record. The U10 girls stepped into the U11 division at the Columbus Cup and finished with a win, a loss and a draw—valuable experience against older competition.
The U9 girls brought home silver from Lancaster, finishing 2–2 in tournament play. Another tournament in the books, more experience together, and a proud finish for this young group.
Different teams, different challenges, and a weekend of accomplishments worth celebrating. Congratulations to the players and coaches—and to the families sharing every mile and every sideline.
