The Cumberland girls soccer team heads to Providence on Tuesday afternoon for a road matchup against Moses Brown.
Cumberland has been one of the stronger teams in Rhode Island through the opening portion of the 2026 season. The Clippers have combined organized defense with an attack capable of generating pressure from several different areas of the field. Their ability to play connected soccer has helped produce a strong early record.
Moses Brown represents another important test. Playing on the road against a competitive opponent will require Cumberland to communicate, protect the middle of the field and remain patient when building its attack. The Clippers have shown they can control games, but Tuesday will test their ability to regain that control following Saturday’s narrow loss to North Kingstown.
The varsity matchup is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. at Moses Brown.
