The Cumberland JV football team returns to Tucker Field on Monday night for a matchup with North Kingstown.
The game gives Cumberland’s younger players an important opportunity to gain meaningful repetitions while continuing the program’s development behind the varsity level. JV football may not receive the same attention as Friday night, but these are often the games where future varsity contributors begin establishing themselves.
Following the varsity Clippers’ 35–21 loss to the Skippers on Friday night, Cumberland’s JV group will get its own opportunity against North Kingstown. Execution, clean exchanges and disciplined defensive assignments will be important against a program accustomed to playing fundamentally sound football.
Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Tucker Field.
