The North Stars kept their momentum rolling Wednesday, shutting out Burrillville 6–0 to move to 4–0–1. It was the first of two straight six-goal wins; after the following victory, the Stars stood at 5–0–1 with four consecutive shutouts.
Logan Pistorio supplied one of the afternoon’s sharpest moments, rising to head home a corner kick. Noah Martinez found the net with a beautiful free kick, giving the Stars another memorable finish from a set piece.
Jake Hosney scored twice, and Mason Aniceto also found the net. Those confirmed scorers account for five of North Cumberland’s six goals; the remaining scorer has not yet been confirmed.
Six goals are eye-catching, but another clean sheet tells just as much of the story. North Cumberland carried that balance into its next game and won 6–0 again, pairing a lively attack with a defense that has kept opponents off the board four games running.
Cumberland Sideline will update the scoring details when the sixth goal is confirmed.
