North Cumberland keeps raising the bar. After consecutive 6–0 victories over Burrillville and Blackstone Valley, the North Stars delivered a 9–0 win over Scituate on Thursday, extending their shutout streak to five games.

That’s 21 goals scored and none allowed across those three wins. The offense is finding another gear, and the defense continues to give opponents very little to work with.

Jake Hosney led the latest charge with five goals. Nick Cortez, Delson Bernardo, Max Rasombath and Daniel DaCosta each added one, while the younger players moved the ball well and helped keep North Cumberland’s attack connected.

For DaCosta, this one carried extra meaning: his first middle school goal. The eighth grader is a beloved teammate whose energy helps lift the group. On a team enjoying plenty of success, seeing a player who contributes so much to its morale get his own scoring moment deserves a little extra spotlight.

That team connection has become part of the North Stars’ identity. Younger players are contributing, multiple scorers are getting involved, and the defensive foundation highlighted in our earlier coverage—with goalkeeper Liam Lemire anchoring the back end—continues to hold strong.

The 0–0 battle with Calcutt showed North Cumberland could stand its ground in a tight game. The recent results have shown how dangerous this group can be when its attack gets rolling.

Now comes another opportunity to measure that progress.

With two big games ahead next week, the North Stars are ramped up for a challenge.

North Cumberland has earned its momentum. Next week offers a chance to show how well that momentum travels into a tougher stretch.

Five straight shutouts. An attack spreading its contributions. A group enjoying each other’s success.

The North Stars have established an identity. Their next chapter is still there to be earned.
