The Cumberland girls volleyball team remains home Thursday night for its second Division I match in three days, welcoming Barrington to Cumberland High School.
With Prout visiting Tuesday and Barrington arriving Thursday, the Clippers have an opportunity to make progress against two quality divisional opponents without leaving their home gym. It is a demanding stretch, but also the type of week that can reveal a team’s composure and depth.
Cumberland will look to build from match to match, especially with its serving pressure, passing and communication. Against Barrington, controlling the first contact and avoiding unforced errors will be essential. If the Clippers can remain steady during extended rallies, the home crowd could become an important factor late in sets.
JV is scheduled for 4:45 p.m., with varsity expected to follow at approximately 6:30 p.m.
