The Cumberland girls volleyball program returns home Tuesday for a Division I matchup against Prout.

Both teams have opened the season competitively, making this an early matchup that could become meaningful as the Division I standings begin to take shape. Cumberland has already been challenged by several quality opponents and will look to use its home court to establish momentum from the opening serve.

For the Clippers, consistency will be the key. Strong serve receive, communication and limiting extended scoring runs can keep Cumberland in system and allow its hitters to attack with confidence. Prout has also played good volleyball early, so Cumberland will need to stay composed through the natural swings of a competitive match.

The JV match begins at 4:45 p.m., with varsity scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Cumberland High School.
